Who Are We?

The National Concerned Small Scale Miners Association of Ghana (NCSSMAG) is a non- governmental organization formed to serve as a unified voice for small-scale miners across the country.

The association is led by Mr. Michael Kwadwo Peprah, CEO of Venus Mining & Construction, whose leadership is grounded in industry experience and a strong commitment to responsible mining practices.

NCSSMAG was established in response to the growing need for organized representation, policy engagement, and education within the small-scale mining sector. For too long, miners have operated without adequate support, clear communication, or meaningful inclusion in policy decisions that affect their livelihoods.

We remain committed to transparency, dialogue, and collaboration with all stakeholders.

Our Mission:

To advocate for responsible, sustainable, and lawful small-scale mining practices that benefit miners, host communities, and Ghana as a whole.

Our Vision:

To see small-scale mining recognized as a legitimate and well-regulated contributor to national development, job creation, and rural empowerment.
